Beautiful location, decent facilities and a super nice and helpful camp host make this a great spot for families/kids. You can fish from your camp site right on the river or put in a canoe at the launch. The only downside is the boil notice for water and the trains that blare their horns all night on both sides of the camp site kept waking my kids up.

I used this campground as a base camp while I went on hikes over a long weekend, so with that said, i used this campground for sleeping and cooking. was only $20 a night which i thought was far. There were a number of RVs both temporary visitors and what seemed fairly permanent. There is a boat launch area, if you have kayaks. The place was fairly quiet at night. except for why i knocked this place 3 stars. There are train tracks right across the river and right behind the park. They would go by periodically through the night. I didn't have much of an issue, but if you are a light sleeper, this is not a campground for you. There were many young family's with children and dogs at this park. Their bath house was less than ideal. I ended up cleaning of in waterfalls from my hikes rather than using them.

Very nice place clean showers and bathroom very scenic and friendly helpful staff ask about Dave's glass work's

Place is right on the river very pretty have tent sites a cabin owners are cool I recommend it !!

With all that being said. If you need a place to stay in the Blacksburg area for camping, this is a neat tucked away place right on the river that was able to suit my needs of a place to pinch a tent and cook food.

This is my favorite place in the whole world I seriously want to move here in a tiny house with my husband and our family live here forever it's beautiful
